

Edwin S. Borucki "Lou," age 78, died Sunday, May 1, 2016 at his home in Warren surrounded by his loving family. Lou was born December 31, 1937 in Hamtramck to the late Edward and the late Lottie (nee: Niedbala) Borucki.Mr. Borucki would remain in Hamtramck as a young man, graduating from St. Ladislaus High School. At St. Ladislaus, Mr. Borucki would excel in sports, especially football and baseball. Following his high school graduation, Edwin enlisted in the United States Marine Corps through which he served his country honorably for 2 years. Upon his return from the Marine Corps, Mr. Borucki returned to Hamtramck and gained employment with the Chrysler Corporation. On June 25, 1960, Lou would marry his high school sweetheart, Margaret "Marge" Czmolak, at St. Louis the King Catholic Church in Detroit.Lou and Marge continued to reside in Hamtramck for the first couple years of their marriage, and in 1964 would move to Warren where they raised their three daughters. Warren proved to be the perfect community to raise their family. After 17 years with Chrysler, the automotive giant was struggling and Mr. Borucki would be laid off. Fortunately, the city that Lou and Marge chose to raise their family was exploding and Lou was able to find a job working with the DPW for the City of Warren. Mr. Borucki would retire from the city of Warren after many years of faithful service. Lou was not ready to totally slow down after his career with the city of Warren, so he would once again enter the workforce, this time working as a driver for the Macomb Daily.After his playing days were over, Lou remained a lifelong fan of sports. Lou enjoyed playing pinochle, euchre, and visiting the casino's. He especially enjoyed the board games he played with his grandchildren. He treasured the family times spent up north at their cottage, being on the boat, and fishing with the grandchildren. Lou also treasured the monthly lunches shared with his classmates from St. Ladislaus.He was the loving husband of Marge for 55 years. Beloved father of Cindy (James) Wilson, Lori (Mark) Caron and Kristen (Steven) Isaacs. Dear brother of Evelyn (the late Mitch) Ozga, Esther Borucki, Eleanor (the late Joe) Bury, and the late Edward (the late Lorraine) Borucki. Treasured grandfather of Ryan (Caroline) Wilson, Brandon (Jessica) Wilson, Rachel Caron, and Joseph Caron. Dearest great-grandfather of Braylen and Riley Wilson. Visitation for Mr. Borucki will be held Thursday, May 5th from 3 -9 pm, with a 4 pm Rosary Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd) in Warren. Mr. Borucki will lie in state Friday, May 6th, 10:00 am until the time of his Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at St. Faustina Catholic Church in Warren.
