Elie D. Nemerski

Elie D. Nemerski, age 92, of St. Clair Shores, Michigan passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023. Elie was born on November 29, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan. He was the son of the late Elie and the late Sophia Nemerski. He graduated from Catholic Central High School, class of 1948.

Elie retired from the Detroit Police Department as a Sergeant after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Lieutenant and Sergeants Association and a member of the Retired Police Officer's Association.

Beloved husband of the late Ruth Nemerski; cherished father of Larry Nemerski, Dan (Laura) Nemerski, Mary Lou (Jerry) Barranca, and Nancy (Mike) Marson; dear Gramps of Jennifer (Steve) Adkins, Matthew (Liz) Barranca, Natalie (Tim) Roberts, Danny (Taylor) Nemerski, Samantha (Andy) Nemerski, Scout Marson, Stevie Marson, Charlie Marson, and AJ Marson; loving great-Gramps of Kasey, Steven, Olivia, and Delilah; and brother of Ronald, the late Rosemarie, the late Michael, and the late Ilene.

Elie will lie in state Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 9:30 AM until time of funeral mass at 10:00 AM at St. Jane Frances de Chantal, 38750 Ryan Rd., Sterling Heights, MI. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Please share a memory with the family in our online guestbook.
