Elinor Fabian, age 87 of Warren, died Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Utica, Michigan. She was born June 15, 1933 in Fairbank, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late George and the late Helen (nee: Hirko) Fabian.
Born in Fairbank, Pennsylvania and ultimately making her way to the Mitten State, Elinor was one of the many women who were part of the workforce back in her day. Securing a position with the automotive supplier, BorgWarner, Elinor was one of the thousands they employed worldwide in the manufacturing and distribution of parts to their many customers around the globe.
Elinor was a dedicated and hard worker. But for as much as she appreciated her job, she loved to play as well,…and for Elinor that meant hitting the casinos! Whether it was one of the many here in Michigan, or the mecca of them all in Las Vegas, Elinor loved giving those One-Armed Bandits a workout and Ol’ Lady Luck a run for her money.
But she didn’t just hang out at the casino, Elinor was also steeped in her faith and an integral member of Warren’s Renaissance Unity Church for many years. She loved volunteering her efforts and found great joy in ministering to others through her giving and helpful nature. She had a selfless manner and an unselfish spirit that formed the soul of the person that touched countless hearts and lives in her journey through life.
A loving daughter and sister, Elinor leaves her own unique legacy of love to be cherished by all who were blessed to know her and be loved by her. May she now rest safely in the arms of God.
Elinor was the beloved daughter of the late George & Helen Fabian. Dearest sister of MaryAnn Fabian, the late Ed Fabian, and the late Helen Fabian.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home in Warren, Michigan.
