Elizabeth MacEachern

Elizabeth "Betty" MacEachern (nee: Gillis), age 86 of Grosse Pointe, died Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Beaumont Hospital in Grosse Pointe. She was born on December 5, 1925 in Port Hood, Nova Scotia, Canada, daughter of the late Duncan and the late Margaret (nee: MacDougall) Gillis.She leaves behind her eight sons and their spouses: Greg (Sue), Doug (Kim), Leonard (Theresa), John (Nikki), Ken (Judy), Michael, Duncan (Peggy), and Lloyd (Mary), and the father of her children Duncan A. MacEachern. She was the loving grandmother of fifteen. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Also surviving are Betty's siblings: John Gillis, Cele Pellerin, Lillian Blondell and Rose MacDonald. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Betty's life will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday November 10th at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church, in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. Family and friends will be received starting at 9:30 a.m. Donations can be made in Elizabeth's name to the Capuchin Monastery. Arrangements were entrusted to the D.S.
