Ellen "Judy" Taylor

Ellen “Judy” Taylor, age 85, formally of Clinton Twp., passed away on November 13, 2022. Born in Detroit to the late Loren and Vera Hall, Judy was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Eastpointe. Judy stayed active in church her whole life; her friends she made over the years at First Baptist were her church family. Judy’s family was her life and joy. She adored being a Mom, Grandma, and Gigi. The self-proclaimed ‘dollar store queen’ Judy would often take trips to the dollar store and bring back bags of cookies and sweets she would share with anyone who would come to visit. Other interests included bowling, going to the movies, playing cards and out to eat with friends. She was the founding President of the East Detroit Lioness club, of which she dedicated many loving hours too. She loved to collect magnets, coffee cups, and solar dancers. Judy loved to travel especially with her best friend Betty Hitchcock, their adventures were numerous. Their last big adventure was a trip to Europe, which included Scotland, Ireland, and England amongst other places. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many, Judy will be missed dearly. Beloved wife of the late William “Bill” Taylor for 54 years. Loving mom of Wm. Taylor Jr., Debra (Randall) Lewis, Laurie (Michael) Sousa, and Daniel (Jacqueline) Taylor. Dear grandma of Jessica (Jeffrey) Tucker, Jennifer Canup (Scott), Sean (Anne) Lewis, Dustin (Alison) Canup, Ashley Lewis (Ryan), Alessia Taylor, Justin W. Taylor, Julianna Taylor, Daniel Jack “DJ” Taylor, the late Carolee Taylor, and Justin B. Taylor. Cherished Gigi of Mya, Colin, Ella, Ethan, Natalie, Isaac, Keegan, Mackenzie, Zoe, Austin, Claire, Arya, and the late Cassidy. Visitation Tuesday, November 22nd from 2pm until time of Funeral Service at 6pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, in Warren. Burial to take place at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East in Clinton Twp. Memorial donations to Blue Water Hospice, 3403 Lapeer Rd Suite B101, Port Huron, MI 48060, are appreciated.
