

Emil was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 19, 1924, the son of Angelo and Elizabeth Cardamone. He was a beloved and caring father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, husband, brother, uncle, and friend. His family and friends say that his love and devotion to his family was central to his life.
Emil was married for 71 years to his loving and devoted wife, Margaret (Rieli) Cardamone. Together, he and Margaret had seven wonderful children. Emil was the dear father of Charles (Gloria) Cardamone, Karen (the late Ronald) DeClark, Richard Cardamone, Raymond (Carlee) Cardamone, Marian Cardamone, Roger (Laura) Cardamone, and the late Nancy Cardamone. Cherished grandfather of 13, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Emil received his undergraduate and law degrees from Wayne State University. He was admitted to membership in the State Bar of Michigan in 1959. He served as president of the Macomb County Bar Association in 1969-70. In 1995, he received the Bar's first "Civility Award for Exemplary Professional Conduct".
Emil was City Attorney for Warren, Michigan from 1965 to 1969. Following public office, Emil managed an active private practice, specializing primarily in municipal and real estate law.
A World War 2 veteran, Emil served in Europe with the 12th Armored Division. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and French Legion of Honor Medal for his military service.
Visitation for Emil will take place on Sunday, March 15th from 2-8pm with his Funeral Service at 5pm at the D.S. Temrowski and Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road in Warren. Burial will follow on Monday, March 16th at 11am at Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Rd, Clinton Twp., Michigan.
