Emilia was born on December 25, 1918 in Lwow, Poland. She was the 2nd oldest of 5 children born to Marcin & Katarzyna Franczuk. Emilias sister Bronia and brother Franek still reside in Poland. In the 1930s, while in Poland, she heard about Jehovahs Witnesses. In 1940, WWII interrupted her life. She was taken one night by force to work on a farm in Germany. After the war, she married in 1946 to Bronislaw Wesolowski who also worked as a forced laborer on German farms. Together they had 2 children (Richard and Ted) born in Germany in 1947 and 1948. In November 1950, the whole family immigrated to the United States to work on a farm in Iowa for a family that had sponsored them. Although she had a command of Polish and spoke some Ukrainian, Russian, and German, life had its challenges in the U.S. They moved to Michigan in 1952 and settled in Hamtramck. In the late 1950s, Emilia again heard about Jehovahs Witnesses from her personal hairdresser. She was happily baptized as one of Jehovahs Witnesses on July 19, 1971. Emilia was a capable, strong willed and energetic woman who endeavored to help all people she came across. Her love for Jehovah and the Kingdom hope was manifested in actively talking to others about it. She would sit on her front porch and wait for the mailman so that she could share Bible truth with him. Her doctors would hear her speak of a better time in a coming Paradise on earth. The last few years were trying as 6 operations took their toll. She lived on her own and loved her whole family dearly. She will be missed by all who knew her. Emilia is survived by her 2 children: her son Richard and his wife Elizabeth and her son Ted and his wife Theresa; her 4 grandchildren and their spouses Rick (Ruth), Lydia (Robert), Matthew, and Kevin; and her great-grandchildren Hannah, Cecily, and Isaac; also by her brother Franek and sister Bronia. A Memorial Discourse will be held on Friday, September 11, 2009 at 1:00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 14777 East 10 Mile Rd., Warren, MI 48089. Officiating the services will be Brother Jerry Jackson. Emilias conviction of a future life of perfect health in a paradise earth under Gods Kingdom: Job 14:13-15 O that in Sheol you would conceal me, That you would set a time limit for me and remember me! If an able-bodied man dies can he live again? All the days of my compulsory service I shall wait, Until my relief comes. You will call, and I myself shall answer you. John 5:28, 29, Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out Psalms 37:29, The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it
