Emmanuel de Jesus Mejia

Emmanuel de Jesus Mejia, age 53, of Madison Heights, died Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy Michigan. Emmanuel was born January 12, 1958 in Guatemala City, Guatamala the son of Julio and Fabiola Mejia. Emmanuel came to the United States by way of New York City and eventually migrated to Michigan where he settled with his wife and family. Emmanuel was a huge and loyal New York Yankees fan and he much loved the city of New York. When Emmanuel was working he worked in the opitical machine manufacturing industry before his health forced him to retire. Emmanuel was a dedicated worker for Inland Diamond where he was employed for 17 years. Emmanuel's family always came first in his life...After his family the thing Emmanuel loved the most was playing and watching soccer, he also liked to travel. He was a lover of romantic and latin music and was an excellent dancer himself. Emmanuel was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 31 years Crusita, his four children Emmanuel, Priscilla, Silvia and Nelson and his two grandchildren Ethan and Giovanni. He is also survived by many loving family members and friends. Visitation for Mr. Mejia will be held Saturday 9 am until the time of his funeral service at 1:00 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road). Please share memories at his guest book.
