Estelle Bonkowski

Estelle Bonkowski, age 90 of Fountain Hills, Arizona, formerly of Warren Michigan, died Tuesday, April 06, 2004 at Fountainview Assisted Living Center. Mrs. Bonkowski was born March 03, 1914 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late Anthony Nowakowski and the late Mary (nee: Stajniak) Nowakowski. She is the loving Mother of Sylvia (Herbert "Rocky") Rhodes, and the late Ronald Bonkowski. Dearest grandmother of Robert (Connie) Bonkowski, Lori (Charles) Penn, Mark (Suzanne) Bonkowski, Lisa (Robert) Gracin. Sister of the Adam (Eunice) Nowakowski, and the late Anthony, Helen, and Marion Nowakowski. Mother in-law of Christine Bonkowski. Sister in-law of Ortense Nowakowski. Also survived by 9 great grandchildren. Mrs. Bonkowski was a member of the Polish-American Cultural Center in Troy, active with the Christian Women of St. Louise Church, and the Warren Seniors, always out praising her late son the former mayor of Warren. She will be remembered by her family for her polish cooking, playing cards, and sewing in her younger years. But most of all her love for her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at D. S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home on Saturday from 5-9 P.M. and on Sunday from 5-9 P.M. A Rosary recital will be Sunday at 7 pm. Funeral services will begin, Monday April 12th , 12:15 pm from the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 mile). Mass of the Christian Burial at St. Louise Catholic Church at 1:00 pm. Officiating the funeral Mass will be Rev. Fr. Tom Rice. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial Donations appreciated to The Capuchin Fathers or the Ronald L. Bonkowski Scholarship Fund, C/O of the M.C.C.C. Foundation.
