Frances Marie Edwards

Fran attended St. David Catholic High School graduating in 1959. In 1965 Fran and William L. Edwards were connected through their siblings. Fran and Bill were married at St. David church in Detroit on January 28, 1967. Fran and Bill began their family in East Detroit then moved to Warren in 1974 and lived happily there for 27 years while raising their 4 children. They moved to Sterling Heights in 2001 and were very active with their neighbors for 20+ years.

Her Catholic faith was tantamount in Fran’s life and shaped her devotion to family and charitable causes. She and Bill supported Catholic education by sending all 4 of their children to Catholic high schools while supporting each school and a nearly 50-year dedication to St. Martin DePorres in Warren.

Fran was, first and foremost, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was very intelligent, hardworking and extremely generous with her time. Her home was always ‘guest ready’ and she enjoyed entertaining friends and family for the holidays. She was involved in a number of charities and truly enjoyed her many years of service at church and within her community.

Fran was the beloved wife of the late William L. Edwards. Loving mother of William, Kristine (Garret) Achenbach, Jeanne (Chris) Campbell, and the late Kenneth (Michelle). Adored grandmother of Sydney, Cassidy, Kayla, Taylor, and Colten. Dear sister of George (Eileen) Bottini and the late Joann Varriale. Also survived by her sisters-in-law Eileen, Mary and Marie and many nieces and nephews. Fran was also predeceased by her brothers-in-law Ron, Dan and Bob.

Visitation for Fran will be held on Tuesday, July 25th from 3-9pm with a 4pm Rosary at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road (at Common Rd), Warren, MI. She will lie In State on Wednesday, July 26th from 10:30am until the time of her Funeral Mass at 11am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 31555 Hoover Rd, Warren, MI. Entombment at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Fran's name are appreciated to either St. Martin DePorres, 31555 Hoover Rd, Warren, MI; De La Salle Collegiate,14600 Common Rd, Warren, MI 48088; or Regina High School, 13900 Masonic, Warren, MI 48088.
