Frances T. Kucemba

Frances Theresa Kucemba, age 89 of Clinton Township, died Friday, September 14, 2007 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Frances was born November 25, 1917 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of the late Fransiszek Piechnik and the late Julia (nee: Olexcy) Piechnik. Frances and her family returned to Poland after World War I, where she was raised and educated. When Frances became 17 years old she and her two sisters returned to Michigan where she worked at a local cleaners. In 1940 Frances married her sweetheart Stanley and became a stay at home mother raising her children. Frances was a devoted and loving mother, who cherished her family and did not have any material wants. She enjoyed playing cards and Bingo. When Frances was able she loved the casinos in Detroit and Las Vegas. Frances was the beloved wife of the late Stanley Kucemba. She is the Dear mother of Stanley (Judy) Kucemba, Ted (Kathy) Kucemba, Michael (Bozena) Kucemba, and the late Joseph Kucemba. Also she is the dear sister of Helen Stankiewicz. Frances was the loving grandmother 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation for Frances will be Sunday from 3-9 pm, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 mile), with a Rosary recital Sunday at 7 pm. Mrs. Kucemba will lie in State Monday 9:00 am, until the time of the Funeral Mass 9:30 am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Celebrating the Funeral Liturgy will be Rev. Fr. Roman Pasieczny.
