Gary Lee Long

Gary Lee Long age 58. Died Suddenly September 7, 2017. Gary was born August 2, 1959 in Detroit to the late Marvin G. and the late Florine Long (nee Mutter). Gary was the youngest of Marvin and Florine's four children.Gary worked as an Engineer in the Automotive industry, he worked his way up from the bottom to his current position. When he was not at work, he surrounded himself with his family. His family meant the world to him and in turn he meant the world to them. Gary was one of those people who was literally, always only a phone call away. If you called he came running to help with whatever you needed. Gary especially treasured the time spent with his 6 grandchildren. He was one of those Grandpa's that never missed a practice, rehearsal, play or game, he would move his calendar around to make sure he was always there.Gary leaves to treasure his memory his wife of Margaret Ann.; his two daughters Sarah (Ryan) Stevenson and Stephanie (Fred) Wild; his 6 cherished grandchildren: Joey, Landon, Austin, Audrey, Harper and Ellie.and his three older siblings: Donna Jones, Bobby (Sue) Long and Ken (Virginia) Long.Visitation Monday 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road.Funeral service Tuesday 10:00 am at the funeral home.
