Gary Wilcox went home to the Lord surrounded by his family on January 30, 2025, after a long illness. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Judith, of 45 years. Three daughters, Catherine Zelvis (Noah), Stephanie Whibley (Paul), and Heather Wilcox. Gary was a proud Papa to Harrison, Ethan, Benjamin, and Lucas. Gary was predeceased by his parents, James Harrison Wilcox and Vivian Wilcox. Gary is a graduate of East Detroit High and a graduate of Wayne State University with a bachelor’s degree in music. Gary’s chief instrument was a trumpet. Gary was a part of the US Army band during the Vietnam War. Gary was a long-time member of the Metropolitan Church of the Nazarene, where he was the chief pianist since age 13. Gary loved music, and it gave him joy.

The Home Going service will be on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the Metropolitan Church of the Nazarene, 18945 Frazho Road, Roseville, MI 48066. The times will be 10:00 to 10:45 am for visits with the family. Service times will be 11:00 am.
