George Joseph Baron

A proud veteran, George served his country with honor in the Army stationed overseas in Korea and Japan after the war ended. He served with the Merchant Marines throughout the Great Lakes region. After his military service, he later built a successful career as the owner of Action Automotive in Clinton Township for over 50 years, where he earned the trust and respect of generations of customers through his honesty, skill and commitment to quality workmanship. A consummate salesman, he developed personal relationships with his customers over the years as the foundation of his success. George was a longtime resident of Lake Ridge Condominiums located on his beloved Lake St. Clair, and he served as its Condo Association President for a number of years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and boater as well as a serious gun collector.

George was the loving father of Pamela Baron (Earl), Denise Baron (Edward), and George Baron, Jr. (Heather). Cherished grandfather of Isabella Baron, Jackson Baron, Delilah Baron, Sam Davis, Dr. Matthew Kornas, and Dr. Daniel Kornas. Former spouse of Betty Baron. He was predeceased by his parents Alex and Genevieve Baron, as well as his brothers, Edward and Jerry. He is also survived by his brother, John, of Deerfield Beach, Fl.

A private family burial will be held for George. Arrangements entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home in Warren.
