George's love of music started at a very young age when he picked up his first trumpet. He was a member of the Grant Jr. High, Kelly Jr. High and East Detroit High School bands. After graduating high school, George joined the United States Army and proudly served his country while playing in the 4th U.S. Army Band in Stuttgart Germany.
Throughout the years, George played in several memorable bands including: The Four Wishes, Paulo, One Beat Back, The Johnny Truddell Orchestra, Swing Shift, and the Detroit Lions band at the Pontiac Silverdome. He also played with notable musicians such as John Truddell, Ed Nuccilli, Randy Goodrum, and Vaughn Klugh.
His love of music went beyond just playing an instrument. He also honed his skills over the years as an arranger who wrote charts for numerous Detroit artists and bands.
George worked as a Millwright with his father for many years before going back to school and earning his associate's degree in computer programming at Macomb Community College. Alongside music, computers were also another passion of his.
George loved to go up north with his wife and family often visiting places like Indian River, Glen Lake, Traverse City, and Mackinac. He also loved sports and was a tortured Lions fan for life.
