Gerald Thomas Whitney, age 78, of Warren, died Friday, January 25, 2013 at St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren.He was born July 5, 1934 in Detroit the son of the late Pearl and the late Hazel (nee: Bond) Whitney.Jerry is survived by his wife, Patricia of 57 years; children, Deborah (Terry) Lamb, Randy (Nancy), and Michael; grandchildren, David, Kyle (Danielle), Lisa (Gary), Brian, and Mary; great grandsons, Mason and Zack; sister, Shirley Waterbury; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Whitney. Visitation for Jerry will be held Monday 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road). He will lie in state Tuesday 9:30 am until the time of his funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Teresa of Avila-St. Dorothy Campus (12255 Frazho, Warren). Officiating the Funeral Liturgy will be Rev. Fr. Robert Bauer. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Please share memories at his memory book.
