Gertrude A. Biernat (nee: Kelsey), age 91, of Warren, died Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Father Murray Nursing Home in Center Line. She was born March 21, 1920 in Center Line the daughter of the late John and the late Agnes (nee: Baranowski) Kelsey. Gertrude is survived by her children, Dianne, Dennis (Mary Hunt), and Denise (Don) Ongart; grandchildren, Dennis, Christopher, and Danielle; great grandchildren, Ethan and Mia; and her sister, Wanda Swieczkowski. She is predeceased by her husband, Jerome. Mrs. Biernat will lie in state Saturday 9:30 am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Clement Catholic Church. Private family interment will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, 1820 Mount Elliott, Detroit, Michigan, 48207. Arrangements entrusted to the D.S.
