Gloria Ann Miriani

Gloria Ann Miriani, age 91, of Rochester Hills, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2026. Her life was defined by love, grace, kindness, and an unwavering devotion to her family and to those around her.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Ernie Miriani, and her loving parents Stanley J. and Onelia “Annie” Wisneski. She was the beloved mother of Mark Miriani, Michael Miriani (Tara), Patti Sima (Jeff), and Paul J. Miriani; cherished grandmother of Paul M. Miriani, Morgan (Kyle) Miriani, Payton (Brandon) Miriani, Sean Sima, Annie Sima, and Miley Miriani; and caring sister of Patricia Cibrowiski. She is also survived by several nieces, a nephew, many dear friends, and her loving pup the late Chuckie.

Gloria was born in Iselen, Pennsylvania. At the age of seven, she moved with her family to Detroit, where she would begin a life filled with cherished memories and lasting relationships. In the fall of 1951, Gloria was honored to be part of the first ever Homecoming Court at East Detroit High School. Following high school, Gloria began her career with Blue Cross Blue Shield as a customer service representative, where her dedication and abilities eventually led her to become a supervisor.

In 1957, Gloria met Ernie, literally “the boy across the street”, in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan, after he returned home from serving in the United States Navy. Gloria and Ernie were married in June 1959 and shared 62 years together before his passing in 2021.

Of all the gifts life gave Gloria, she considered her family to be her greatest. Together, she and Ernie spent several years raising their family in Michigan, and as his career took them to new places, Brazil, Virginia, Illinois and then back home to Michigan. Wherever life led them, Gloria had a remarkable ability to quickly turn each new house into a home. She created warmth, stability, and a true sense of belonging for her children.

Gloria was a devoted wife and an extraordinary mother who gave her children unconditional love, encouragement, and a strong foundation. She was equally devoted to her grandchildren, whom she delighted in spoiling with her time, attention, and affection. Her greatest joy was simply being with the people she loved. She was also a loving sister and remained exceptionally close with her sister and extended family throughout her entire life. Gloria was a friend to everyone she met. She never judged people based on bias or differences, but instead treated everyone with the same kindness, acceptance, and unconditional compassion. Her spirit was truly the embodiment of love and grace.

Gloria possessed a remarkable artistic talent and was an amazing oil painter. She found joy in capturing the beauty she saw around her, painting scenes of horses, seascapes, flowers, and many other subjects. Her artwork was another reflection of her gentle spirit and appreciation for beauty.

Throughout the many health challenges she encountered, Gloria remained gracious, strong, resilient and compassionate. Even when life asked so much of her, she continued to give of herself, always thinking of others before considering her own needs. She never lost her kindness, selflessness, sense of humor or grace.

Gloria leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on forever in the family she cherished so deeply and in all those fortunate enough to have known her. Her kindness, elegance, and selflessness touched countless lives. She will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered.

Gloria will be instate Saturday August 29th from 10:00am until time of Funeral Service at 11am at A.H. Peters Funeral Home in Warren. She will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery.
