Goldie Elizabeth Masar

Goldie Elizabeth Masar, age 90 of Sterling Heights, died Monday, March 3, 2014 at the Autumn Woods Health Care Facility in Warren. She was born on May 1, 1923 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Louis and the late Irene (nee: Wyman) Petro. Goldie was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Dear mother of Edward T. (Kimberley) Masar and Lori (Michael) Kraft. Loving grandmother of Mark Masar, Jenna Masar, Alek Kraft, and Tatyana Kraft. Devoted sister to Helen Kester, and was preceded in death by her other siblings, Louis Petro, Sofie Melnick, Irene Fiorenzi, and Paul Petro. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Masar's family will celebrate Goldie's life with a Remembrance Service to be held at a later date. She will join her beloved, Edward at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Memorial donations are welcomed to the American Diabetes Association, 30200 Telegraph Rd., Suite 105, Bingham Farms, MI 48025 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 25200 Telegraph Rd., Suite 100, Southfield, MI 48033.Arrangements were entrusted to the D.S.
