They then wed and shortly after went down to Georgia so he could finish his last 17 months of service to our county. When Grace wasnt taking care of her husband and children, she worked for the State of Michigans unemployment department, later going on to help others get jobs. Grace was described as a kind and gentle woman with a sweet spirit. As her family would say, They definitely broke the mold when they made her. Grace enjoyed sewing, so much so that she sewed her daughter, Wendys, wedding dress. She loved bird houses, as she has collected many of them over the years. She also loved the piano and going to church. She was deeply devoted to her church and the Lord, being so dedicated that she was a Sunday School Teacher, leading others in life and prayer. Most of all, Grace loved her family, especially her grandkids. She was a perfect wife and mother, making dinner everyday. She loved to cook and her family had no complaints about her food, she was a fantastic cook. Grace and Robert never had a fight for as long as they were together. Her family and friends are her witnesses to confirm this fact, and also how they never once heard her raise her voice. Better known as Edith Bunker, Grace was the backbone of the family. As Robert always knew himself and had no problem telling others Shes the boss. Grace was a wonderful wife, mom and grandma. Sweet, loving and active until Alzheimers took her life. She loved the Lord and her family. She is survived by husband Robert. Mother of Wendy (Nick) Hansen and Mark (Christine). Grandmother of Matt, Missy, Chelsea, and Olivia. Sister of Chris Sessink.
