Gregory Joseph Horsch, age 63 of Warren, died Monday, May 18, 2015 at St. John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He was born January 23, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late Oliver J. Horsch and the late Virginia (nee: Kowalski) Horsch. When he was on-the-job, Greg was tooling around as a food service delivery driver. But just ask Greg and he would have told you that his favorite work was enjoying the outdoor activities that Michigan has to offer. Whether it was loading his gun on one of his many hunting ventures,...casting his line at one of his favorite fishing holes,...or four-wheelin' with family & friends in the backwoods of the Mitten, nothing spelled "fun" more for Greg than exchanging the concrete jungle for a little back-to-nature entertainment and relaxation. He also loved to camp and enjoyed the simple pleasures of sitting around a campfire BSin' with loved ones and sippin' on an ice-cold Bud Light,...the" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">...the perfect elixir when gathered with those you care about most. Yet, enjoying the outdoors didn't necessarily mean having to leave home for Greg, No,...a good BBQ in the backyard could provide a whole lot of fun and escape from the demands of life,...especially with his companion, a Chocolate Lab named "Ginger," by his side. And, oh yeah,...the music. Though Greg loved all kinds of music, just taking a gander at his playlist favorites, such as; Cocker, Clapton, Nugent, Pink Floyd, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Emerson, Lake & Palmer, just to name a few,...there's no doubt he was a rocker from the late 60's / early 70's era when some of the most iconic rock'n'roll was derived. Just imagine some of the licks he's enjoyin' now?!?!A loving husband, father and grandfather, Greg leaves behind a storehouse of wonderful memories and moments captured in the hearts of all who were lucky & blessed to know him,...love him,...and be loved by him. Gone far too soon from our presence, he leaves an imprint on the souls of all who were touched by his care and changed by his humanity. He will be missed immensely and loved eternally. Go Rest High, Dear Brother.Gregory was the beloved husband of Mary. Dear father of Michael Ventimigla, Danna (Richard) Rice, John Ventimigla, and Joseph (Dana) Horsch. Brother of Patricia Zygaj.
