Harry F. Malak, 80, a 50-plus year Detroit resident, died Friday, April 23, 2004, in Detroit Receiving Hospital. He was born in 1923 in Richmond. Mr. Malak was a longtime owner of the 2-Way Inn Bar in Detroit. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran, having earned the Purple Heart. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, rides to the country, and spending as much time with family as possible, loved ones said. He is survived by his children, David (Lynette), Cynthia (Dominic) Cucci, Joyce (Eric) McDaniel, Martin (Barbara), and Mary (Kenneth) Aganowski; sibling, John (Helen) Malak and Gertrude Kaminski;sisters-in-law, Sophie Swieczkowski and Irene Jarocz; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Henrietta. A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the D.S. Temrowski and Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile), Warren, with the Rev. Jim Profota, officiating. Visitation is 5-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
