

Helen A. Krajniak (nee: Pilarski), 88, a 64-year resident of Warren, died Wednesday, August 16, 2006, surrounded by her family at her home. She was born in 1918 in Rogers City, Michigan. Mrs. Krajniak enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, playing cards and spending as much time with her family as possible. Family members said they considered her their inspiration and the glue that held the family together. She was a member of Ascension Catholic Church in Warren and was active with their Rosary Society. Mrs. Krajniak is survived by her children, Sister Joyce Marie, Marlene (Thomas) Grondz, Janet (Merl) Naumowicz, Albert Krajniak, Mark (Mary) Krajniak, Eugene Krajniak, Mary (Ernest Vickers) East, Greg (Dorothy) Krajniak and William (Terry) Pearch; 25 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and her brother Carl Pilarski. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley; children, Larry, Joseph and James Krajniak; and granddaughter Liz East. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am Saturday at Ascension Catholic Church in Warren with Rev. Norbert Majciewski officiating. Visitation will be from 5-9pm Thursday and from 2-9pm on Friday with a 7pm Rosary Recital at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be from 10-10:30 Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Elizabeth East Scholarship Fund at Center Line High School.
