

Helen Ileene Pizurie-Walters, age 92 of Warren, died Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Warren. Helen was born on June 22, 1927 in Tisdale, Saskatchewan, Canada, daughter of the late Joseph and the late Anastasia (nee: Podolsky) Sholopiak.
Helen first migrated with her family to Manitoba before moving to Windsor, and eventually settling in the Detroit area in the early 50’s. After the loss of her first husband, love found its way into her heart once again when she met Ted at St. Mark’s Parish in Warren, Michigan. Together, they joined families and spent 37 loving years side by side. Helen was known as an avid lover of dancing, especially in the arms of her favorite dance partner, Ted. Most of all, Helen enjoyed spending time with her loving family who will miss her dearly.
Helen was the beloved wife of Ted. Dear mother of Tamara (Joseph) Remisiewicz, the late Thomas Pizurie, and step-mother of Constance (Dennis) Johnston and Jacquelyn Hampton. Loving grandmother of Beth Ann, Rebecca, Kristi, Erin, Winona, and great-grandmother of 9. Cherished godmother and aunt of Ronald Konopasky. She was preceded in death by her sister Elsie Konopasky.
Visitation for Helen will take place Sunday, March 1st from 5-9 pm, with a Remembrance and Prayer Service on Monday, March 2nd at 10:30 am, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road) in Warren.
