Helen Turonek, 90, of Clinton Township, died Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital Warren Campus. Helen was born June 2, 1917 in Detroit, Michigan. She was a lifetime resident of Detroit, and retired as a Bookeeper for Helin Tackle where she worked for over 25 years. In her spare time Helen enjoyed bingo, collecting stamps, coins, and antique dolls. Her family said she was a very kind woman whom cared for her mother for several years. Also she loved cats and was the neighborhood caretaker of all the strays. She is survived by her children, Karen (Gerald) Adams, the late Valerie Marotich, and Katherine (Joseph) Hasselwander; grandchildren, Robert, Ryan, Nicholas, Milan, Carrie, Joseph, and David; and brother, Edward Furmanczyk. Vistation will be Tuesday 1-8 pm with a 7 pm funeral service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile).
