

Henry J. Adamczyk, age 82 of Warren died Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital in Grosse Pointe. Henry was born September 2, 1928 in Donora, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Joseph and Caroline Adamczyk. Henry attended Pershing High School in Detroit where he was part of their All-City baseball team. After many years of hard work throughout his career, he retired from General Motors in 1990. One of Henrys favorite pastimes was playing golf. Aside from this, he was a big Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings fan. Also, whenever Henry found the time, he loved to vacation in Traverse City. Henry was a very caring man, often visiting with his friends to see how they were doing. Most of all, Henry enjoyed all the time he spent with those he loved most, his family. He adored the time he spent with his grandchildren, as they all held a very special place in his heart. Henry will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Henry was the beloved husband of Dolores (nee: Kowatch) for 53 years. He was the loving father of Kenneth (Traci) and David (Suzanne). Dearest papa of Kristin, Alicia, D.J., Stephanie, and Lukas. Brother of Wanda Cavalier. Henry is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation for Henry will be held on Tuesday from 3-9 pm with a 6 pm Rosary Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile Road). Henry will lie in state on Wednesday at 10:00 am until the time of his Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at St. Sylvester Catholic Church. Officiating the Funeral Liturgy will be Rev. Fr. Gary Schulte.
