Henry Bruno Tomczyk

Henry was born December 6, 1917 in Detroit to the late Vincent and Helen Tomczyk. He graduated from St. Mary's College at Orchard lake in 1940 and pursued graduate studies at U of D. After college Henry worked at GM as an analytical chemist in Chevrolet Laboratories for 39 years.

Henry's family was his greatest joy. He loved traveling to visit out-of-town family members for as long as his health permitted. Two of his favorite hobbies, besides his family, were reading and walking around his neighborhood. Henry is survived by his wife, Stephanie, November 7, 2007 he celebrated 65 years of marriage to Stephanie. children, Susan (Morrie) Cunha, Stephen (Maria), Henry V., Julianne (Richard) Johnson, Christopher, Timothy (Maria) and Veronica (Kevin) Moody; grandchildren, Morrie, Jeff, Joseph, Evie, Neil, Clifford, Theresa, Jennifer, Michelle, Anna, Carl; and 6 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, Vincent and Helen; and grandson, Tyler Moody.

Visitation for Henry will be Sunday from 3-9 pm with a 5:30 pm Scripture service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover at Common (12 1/2 Mile). A funeral Mass will be Monday 10:30 am at St. Sylvester Catholic Church. The Mass will be offficiated by Fr. Gary Schulte. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
