

Henry Wojno, age 94, died August 2, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Florence, and is the dearest father of Dr. Ted Wojno and the Honorable Paul (Lisa) Wojno. Henry was loved by his grandchildren Nicole, Lauren, Alex, Kennedy, Bradley and Audrey. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews. Mr. Wojno was predeceased by his parents Chester and Adela, sister Cassie (Bobowski), and brother Casmere.Henry was born in Detroit, Michigan and was a 1937 graduate of Hamtramck High School. He served in the U.S. Army as a staff sergeant in WWII in the Ardennes, Central Europe and Rhineland Campaigns receiving 3 Bronze Service Stars and several commendations. He attended the College of Creative Studies in Detroit and worked as a talented artist in the automotive and defense industry. He retired from Chrysler Corp. in 1977. For many years, he and his wife Florence enjoyed spending winters in Naples, Florida. They enjoyed reading, the symphony, as well as their morning and evening walks on the beach. He was an avid oil and pastel painter who completed numerous pieces of art. Henry will be missed deeply by all his friends and family members. Visitation for Mr. Wojno will be held on Monday, August 5th from 3-9pm, with a 6pm Scripture Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road). His Funeral Services, with military honors, will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday at the funeral home. Please share memories of Henry at his memory book.
