Ilene Beaudin

After graduating from Dominican High School, she worked at the neighborhood grocery store before working at the Ralph C. Wilson Agency in Detroit. Soon after, she met Norm; they were married October 1, 1960, at Holy Name. They had three children and moved to Sterling Heights where they resided for 56 years. Ilene then worked as a church secretary at three Catholic Churches until her retirement.

Ilene enjoyed gardening, bowling, Pinochle, and cleaning. She always kept in touch with her friends and family and never missed an opportunity to send a card, write a letter, or make a phone call.

She was a special mother and her kids always knew how much she loved them and she did for them. She was very proud of her family and once the grandchildren and great-grandchildren came along, she cherished all of the precious moments she got to spend with them.

Ilene is survived by her son, Brian (Sharon) Beaudin, daughters, Kim (Russ) Rice and Lisa (Keith) Potter, grandchildren, Kelley (Kevin) Couchman, Britney (Kyle) Rockov, Kayla (Brooks) Lofay, Brandin (Maria) Beaudin, and Melanie (Andrew) Palazzolo. She was a proud great-grandmother to Carson, Reed, Ava, Kayden, Kaysley, Jackson, Liam, and Connor. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Fryske, 17 nieces and nephews, and many friends and neighbors. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Norm, and brothers, Roger and Larry Fryske.

Friends may visit the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, Warren, MI 48088 on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 3:00pm – 8:00pm. A Rosary service will take place at 7:00pm.

Ilene will lie in state at St. Malachy Catholic Church, 14115 14 Mile Road, Sterling Heights, MI 48312 on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 9:30am until time of Mass at 10:00am.

Ilene will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, MI.
