Irene U. Wilk

Irene Wilk, aged 99 (and a half), passed away peacefully January 25, 2023 with family at her side. Irene is preceded in death by her siblings and their spouses: Anna (Art) Pacholski, Theodore (Lillian) Wilk, and Leonard (Rita) Wilk. She had a close relationship with her cousin Leona Lisoski, with whom she shared a life-long friendship. Irene is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and great-great nephew Carson Ray Neil.

Irene was born June 22, 1923. She was raised in Hamtramck, Michigan then moved to California where she spent the next 60 years of her life. During that time, she treasured being with family and enjoyed a long career with British Petroleum before retiring in 1985. In 2012, she returned to Michigan to reunite with her brothers and other family members.

Irene’s spirited personality and fun-loving nature made her a vibrant and beloved presence in the lives of all who knew her. She had a charm that made you feel special and appreciated, and she loved making new memories with her family and friends.

Visitation Sunday, January 29, 2023 from 3pm to 8pm with a 4pm Rosary at D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road in Warren. In State Monday 9am until the time of a Funeral Mass at 9:30am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 31555 Hoover Road in Warren. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
