Jack was the brother of the late Joseph (the late Elfrieda) Kokal, the late Erika (the late Buck) Schevo, and the late Walter (the late Helen) Kokal. He was the uncle of Walter (the late Kathleen) Kokal, Steven (Janine) Kokal, and the late Robert (Michele) Kokal. He will also be remembered by his many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Jack proudly served in the United States Air Force, after the Korean War, stationed in Morocco in North Africa. He then worked at Chrysler Corporation as an executive assistant and later in supply chain management. He retired after 30 years and lovingly cared for his mother in her elder years.
Jack had a love for gardening and especially enjoyed spending time in his greenhouse, tending to his many plants and flowers. A talented figure skater and tennis player, he enjoyed an active life and had a variety of interests. He was also an avid reader who particularly enjoyed a good mystery or thriller.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 28, at 11:00 am, at the New Apostolic Church, 37800 Utica Road, in Sterling Heights.
Jack will be interred at the Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, in Holly.
In lieu of flowers, any donations made in his memory to Heart to Heart Hospice, Meals on Wheels, or the New Apostolic Church Food Bank, would be deeply appreciated.
