Jack was born in Detroit to the late Medard and Madeline Pieters. Times spent with family brought Jack great joy; his deep laugh and boyish smile will be lovingly remembered. Anytime there was a reason to get together for a birthday, family function or holiday, those were the memories that Jack cherished most. He was proud of his Belgian heritage and could often be found at the Belgian American Association with his beloved wife Leona, participating in Belgian dances. Jack also enjoyed playing card games such as euchre, pass the Ace, or rummy. He remained active his whole life and could be seen on daily walks while treating himself to a mocha frappe from McDonald’s. Jack also volunteered at Bon Secours/Beaumont Hospital for over 35 years. Deeply devoted to his faith, his family, and his community Jack will be dearly missed.
