Jack dedicated much of his life to hard work, family, and simple joys. After his service in the Air Force, he spent 35 years at Eastern Box Company and also worked at JL Hudson’s in Detroit, where fate would introduce him to Sandra — the love of his life. The two were married for 64 years until Sandra’s passing in 2022, a bond marked by deep love, shared laughter, and enduring companionship.
Jack had a knack for collecting clocks and an unwavering love for Western novels. He also enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, and the companionship of the many cats he and Sandra owned over the years. His warmth, humor, and steady presence will be remembered by all who knew him. Jack will be deeply missed by his loving family.
Jack was the beloved husband of the late Sandra. Loving uncle of Lars, Melissa, Melanie, Mike, Steve, and Kevin. Dear brother of Patricia Northup and brother-in-law of Joyce Eilenfeld. He is also survived by many loving great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Virgil and Ida, his sister Mary "Mickey" Tinsley, and his niece Sarah.
A Private Burial will be held for Jack at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan. Arrangements entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home in Warren.
