Jacob William LaFleur

Jacob William LaFleur 'Jake', age 84 of Warren, died April 13, 2012 at St. John Macomb Oakland Hospital Macomb Center. Jake was born February 26, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan the son of the late William and the late Anna (nee: Mueller) LaFleur. Jake worked making molds of cars at Chrysler for 29 years. To say that Jake loved to fish would be putting it mildly. He was an avid fisherman and owned his own tackle business for many years. He also loved hunting and cooking as well. Most importantly he was a devoted husband of 61 years and loved his children deeply. Jake was the beloved husband of Evelyn. He was a loving father of Mary Ann (Bob) Schmidtke, Linda, Jan (Larry) Okalski and John (Eugenia). Dear grandfather of Sarah (Kyle) Johnson, Dan Okalski, Brian Kasprzyk, Laura Okalski, Jacob Kasprzyk, Kimmy Kasprzyk, Brett LaFleur and Jared LaFleur. He was a great-grandfather of Garrett and Mason Johnson. Devoted brother of Bill and the late Pete and Nick. Visitation for Jake will be Monday 5-9pm and Tuesday 2-9pm with a 6:30pm Scripture Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ' Mile Road). Mr. LaFleur will lie in state Wednesday 9:30am at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00am. Please share memories of Jake at his guestbook.
