Born in Detroit, Michigan, Jim was the son of Lloyd and Doris (Kowalski) Carbary, Sr. On January 6, 1990, Jim married Patricia Ann (Skowronek) in St. Clair Shores. Together they raised their three children, Ryan, Evan and Sarah.
For several years he worked at the GM Tech Center and the Tank Automotive Plant. Jim loved the outdoors and spent many summers in Lewiston enjoying nature.
Jim is survived by his loving wife Pat; children Ryan, Evan, Sarah; his mother Doris Carbary of Warren; brothers Gary (Maryann) Carbary and Donald Carbary, sister Linda Thomas, of Warren; sisters in law Laura (the late John) Litzan, Carol (Sean) Ward; Janis (Kevin) Grand; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Lloyd Carbary Sr.; brothers Lloyd Carbary Jr., and David Carbary; sister Sharon (Daniel) Freitag.
