I was so sorry to read of Jim's passing.  Jim and I were boyhood friends during the mid 1950's growing up on Houston Whittier in Detroit. Among other things, Jimmy (as I called him) and I played tons of baseball, many games of hide and seek, sneaking snacks from neighborhood fruit trees, and eating fried baloney sandwiches at his house.  Those boyhood memories still bring a smile to my face and will never be forgotten.  May Jim rest in peace and my sincere condolences to the entire family.

“Hi’ya kid!” and the occasional sports conversation from across the street, we could not have been blessed with better neighbors. We loved Mr. Jim and will continue to be grateful for the nearly 15 years of watching him meticulously maintain his yard, tree and shrubs, water the grass in the evenings if we hadn’t gotten much rain, and the hand delivered paczki from East Detroit Bakery.  Praying for comfort for your family, Ms. Kathy, as we know he will be greatly missed.

Lynne Stan and Rupert Over the fence neighbors. Kathy and Family, Jim will always be remembered for his kindness and great conversations. But most especially for his kindness toward the animals. In the winter he put out bird feeders until the hawk showed up. He put corn cobs out for the squirrels and he even put a stone path out to the back fence so he could give his good friend, Rupert, biscuits everyday. At about ten each morning, Rupert would run to our back fence and bark at Jim’s door wall. Jim would stick his head out and say, “just a minute, Rupert”. Rupert would lay down and wait until Jim reappeared with all the dogs and a handful of dog biscuits. Jim was a beautiful soul and a bit of light disappeared when he left. We worked with Jim in the 70’s at the Mt Clemens AAA office. He was a good guy and a lot of fun. We were in the claim dept together. 
A fellow coworker shared the news with a few of us and we spent some time remembering him in a group chat and shared some good memories. Deepest sympathy to his family.

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Jim. He was a great guy. I never worked directly for Jim but what he taught me about property claims I am forever grateful.  In my opinion he was the best Property Manager AAA ever had.  
I am glad he was my friend too we had some great times at lunch or after work gatherings.

I will always be grateful for the time we spent with Mr. Dombrowski when we would drop in to visit Andy. Mr. Dombrowski was kind and always willing to engage in good conversation. I think people leave a legacy in the many connections they make and I am a better person for knowing  him. I am very sorry to hear about Jim.  He was very intimidating to me until he became my manager.  It didn't take long to find out what an amazing person he was.  He will be missed.

I’m so sad to hear this news. Jim was my mentor when I was trainee at the old Mt. Clemens satellite claims department back in 1975. He remained my friend and someone I could always go to if needed. He also was one of the few people who I allowed to call me Joey! Rest in peace my friend you were one of the good ones. My deepest condolences to Kathy and his family.
