

James Everette Schumaker, age 85 of Shelby Township, died Sunday, August 19, 2007 at his daughter's home surrounded by family members. James was born February 04, 1922. He served his country in the Army during World War II. And then worked and retired as a millwright for Chrysler Motors for more than 30 years. When he was not working he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and also staying very active with the Bruce VFW Post in St. Clair Shores, as a member of their Ritual Team. In addition to being a member of the ritual team he was also a member of Walleye Association. When James had downtime he could be found at home spending time with his loving family or dog, and watching Everybody Loves Raymond on television. Mr. Schumaker was the beloved husband of the late Edith. He is the dear father of Dennis (Susan) Schumaker, Doreen Easlick, Gary Schumaker, and the late Gail Starnes. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Brock, Darryl, Doug, Heather, Amber, Erica, and Gretchen, and his loving sister Hazel Jaklitch. He will also be missed by his dear friend Joan Janarski. Visitation for Mr. Schumaker will be Tuesday from 2-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home 30009 Hoover Rd at Common, (12 Mile).
