Born in Caro to the late Lyle and Dora Miller, Janet was known for being a hard worker with a big heart for her family and friends. When she was younger, her and her husband Rocky enjoyed the simple times just being together. On their first date they went hunting together, which led to later trips “up north” and to the U.P. as a family when their children were born. They also enjoyed bowling on several leagues and gardening, hobbies that Janet kept on with even after Rocky’s passing. Janet’s garden was always flush was a variety of different flowers and vegetables that she would can and later make fantastic meals with. Her family would joke that whenever Janet cooked there was always leftovers because she never learned how to cook a small meal. She was known for a few favorite foods she would cook around the holidays, Gagoots, fried Italian zucchini from her garden, homemade pasties, a recipe passed down from their family from the U.P. and her sage turkey stuffing made at the holidays. One of the most memorable dishes Janet made with her husband was nicknamed “the Concoction” with a base of spaghetti mixed in with different vegetables, and different Italian sausages cut up by type so you could still tell which kind of sausage it was by the way a piece was cut. It was usually eaten on top of crackers. When her sister Donna was alive Janet called her daily and she cherished the memories of the times when she traveled with her brother Gary to go visit her sister in California. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Janet will be missed dearly
