Born on October 9, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan, Janet was the beloved daughter of Sever and Sima Dixon. She shared 43 wonderful years of marriage with her late husband, Clarence Rhodes, and treasured the life they built together.
Janet dedicated many years of service as a secretary with the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) before retiring. She was known for her creativity and artistic talent, finding joy in painting and drawing. She also loved challenging herself with crossword puzzles, a pastime that reflected her sharp mind and curious spirit. A woman of deep and abiding faith, Janet was a devoted parishioner of Bethesda Church for 60 years. Her faith was the foundation of her life and guided the kindness, compassion, and dedication she showed to her family, friends, and church community.
