Janet Lynn Wrublewski, age 71 of Warren, died at home on Thursday, September 24, 2020. She was born June 2, 1949 in Detroit, daughter of the late Alfred John and the late Louise Agnes (nee: Dzialo) Wrublewski.
A caretaker for her home, Janet poured every ounce of her care and love into managing the affairs of the house, keeping everything running smooth, and maintaining the comforts of home & hearth for all who passed through her doors. It came with immense responsibility, but Janet was always up to the task. Her efforts helped to make her home a sanctuary; a place of rest for all who entered.
Many will also recall how Janet loved a great debate,…especially when the topic steered towards politics. She possessed an inquisitive and knowledgeable mind for all things political, and had no problem chiming in on current affairs. She lived for the verbal sparring, which only helped to feed her hunger and equip her for the challenges to come.
Janet loved a good meal, and nothing could satisfy her taste buds more than something from an Asian menu. She wasn’t real fussy, but you’d often see quite the smile come over her face when Thai food was mentioned. There was just something special in what that ethnic flavor brought to the table,…and she savored every bite.
But of all that Janet deemed special and favorite, nothing could hold a candle to the love and admiration she held for animals,…specifically her pets. There was her cherished dog, Colby, and her precious cat, Carnina, Janet’s treasured “fur-babies” whose warmth and affection meant the world to her and could soothe the savage beast on those difficult days. Having a pet to cuddle with can often make a world of difference, and that is exactly what Colby & Carnina offered their Fur-Mama. Janet was also quite enamored with butterflies, with all of their colorful beauty as they flitted through the air, so delicately, with a majesty and grace that could take your breath away and keep you captive for hours,...as they did Janet.
Janet was the beloved daughter of Alfred & Louise Wrublewski, and loving sister of Allen Jesse, and the late Nancy (Dr. Augustine) Arbulu.
Janet will be laid to rest on Wednesday, October 14th at Elmwood Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan.
