Jason James Smith

He is survived by his beloved wife Nichole; children Amanda (Matthew Lepage), Aiden & Jacob; cherished grandchildren Jackson, Calvin and Madelin. He also leaves behind his parents James & Grace Smith, along with many other family, friends and all those who were fortunate enough to have been touched by Jason's life and we will all miss him dearly.

Jason was a man of creativity and passion. He had a deep love for loud music, tattoos and art. He brought that same passion, dedication and intensity into any job, task or goal that he invested his time into.

A skilled carpenter, artist and musician, he found joy in creating things with his hands and the satisfaction of seeing his creations brought to life. Whether it was a beautifully crafted piece of woodwork or a song filled with raw emotion, his talent, originality and unfiltered spirit left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.

Beyond his many skills, Jason was known for his humor, resilience and they way he lived his life unapologetically. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his legacy lives on in the art he created, the music he played and the love he shared with those closest to him.

A celebration of Jason's life will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at his home in Proctor, Vermont located at 15 Powers Square, Proctor, VT 05765 from 12:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. This casual open-house gathering will honor Jason in the way he would have wanted - laid-back, surrounded by friends and family, filled with coffee, laughter and shared memories. Friends and loved ones are welcome to stop by to share a story, a memory or simply pay their respects.

For those friends and family from Michigan who cannot attend, prayer cards will be made as a keepsake to honor Jason and will be available be at A H Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, Warren, MI 48088 on or after February 9, 2025

In lieu of flowers, or those who wish to make a donation in Jason's honor, contributions may be directed to Jason's children would be deeply appreciated as they navigate this difficult time.
