A shining graduate of Henry Ford High School’s Class of 2007, Jeffrey’s work history reflected the dedicated service he rendered as part of the janitorial team at Tedesco Building Services, inc.. He was a hard worker and thorough in every task he encountered. Jeffrey was truly an important part of the team and gave his all every day on the job.
If you knew Jeffrey, then you know he loved his sporting pleasures,…especially when it came to watching his beloved Detroit Pistons. He was all about basketball, and definitely a die-hard fan of his “Boys on the Boards.” Yet basketball didn’t feed his desires alone. There was that other group of athletes that brought their own brand of competition to the table, his “Boys in the Winged Wheel.” Yes, Jeffrey was Red & White to the core and one of the Red Wings’ biggest banner wavers. He might have been a bit young, but was surely old enough to remember the four Stanley Cups our boys brought home within an eleven year stretch. As for participating in sports, Jeffrey loved the game of soccer and could manhandle a soccer ball like he was a protégé of the great Pele.
Jeffrey was always “up” and ready for action, perhaps because of his affinity for imbibing on soda pops and those infamous Monster drinks. The only thing he loved more was going to get lunch at McDonald’s. He owned a Red Grand Am GT, and driving it to Mickey D’s was about the only workout his car endured. It was all about going to get lunch in style.
When it came to his musical pleasures,…Rap was the genre, and nobody did it better for Jeffrey than the iconic, Eminem. A local boy on top of the charts, Eminem’s music spoke to Jeffrey in a unique way and was a huge part of his growing years. Jeffrey was also a huge fan of playing video games and could spend hours getting lost in the gaming fray. And in a perfect scenario,…you might have found Jeffrey enjoying one of his video games while listening to Eminem and downing a can of his Monster Drink in the process. The perfect trifecta!
Possessing a great personality and a smile that could light up a room, Jeffrey was not only likable, but treasured to everybody who knew him. He was one of those guys who “never met a stranger,”…and always left you a little better by simply sharing in his world. He met a few challenges in his later years, but his spirit remained strong and spoke volumes to those who watched him manage life amidst his storms.
A loving son, brother, and grandson, Jeffrey leaves us far too soon in the scheme of life, but not without imparting the best of himself into the lives of all who were blessed to know him and be loved by him. He taught many lessons through his strength and stamina, and leaves a treasure trove of warm and wonderful memories to embrace with each reflection shared. He will be missed immensely and loved eternally. May he rest in peace.
Jeffrey was the beloved son of Frank and Marjorie Fitzpatrick; loving brother of Lori Fitzpatrick; and dear grandson of Frank Fitzpatrick.
