Jennie G. Wight

Jennie was the beloved wife of the late Roland E. Wight. Jennie was born November 17, 1919 in Illinois the daughter of the late John and the late Anna (nee: Nesvera) Govedisch. She is survived by her loving daughter, Debbie (Don) Collingwood, and her only grandson, Jeffrey R. Woods. Jennie was raised in Detroit and worked at Michigan Abrasive, where she met her husband. She and her husband would move to Owosso for his job and later moved back to Center Line. Jennie became a homemaker who loved the outdoors, flowers, and nature. Jennie cherished her family and grandson. A simple woman devout to her church and faith, served as a Deacon. Jennie enjoyed traveling with her husband and oil painting nature scenes. She was gracious and giving woman, working at Autumn Woods Nursing Home in the senior daycare and also donating time at Charlotte's Place Bon Secours Senior Community. Visitation for Mrs. Wight will be held Monday, 2-9pm at the funeral home. Funeral service will be Tuesday 11:00am at the funeral home. Officiating the Funeral will be Rev. Dr. Elizabeth L. Downs. Interment will be in Cadillac Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
