Jessica Frances Cowen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jessica, a devoted mother, compassionate caregiver, and friend to many.

Jessica grew up in Metro Detroit and was a proud graduate of Clintondale High School. She continued her education at Baker College, where she further prepared herself for a life dedicated to caring for others.

Jessica worked in in-home care for seniors, a role that perfectly reflected her gentle spirit and generous heart. She had a natural gift for helping people and offered comfort, dignity, and companionship to those who needed it most. Her compassion extended far beyond her profession. She was always willing to lend a hand — whether to her clients, a neighbor, or someone experiencing homelessness. Helping others wasn’t just something she did; it was who she was.

She was a wonderful cook who found joy in feeding her family. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, laughter, and togetherness. Preparing meals was one of the many ways she expressed her love, and no one ever left her table hungry.

Above all else, Jessica’s greatest love was her children. They were the center of her world, her proudest accomplishment, and her deepest joy. Everything she did was rooted in her devotion to them. Jessica will be remembered for her kindness, her selfless spirit, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and in the hearts of those who loved her most. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Jessica was the beloved daughter of Jennifer Valente and Michael Lisecki. Loving mother of Brandon Cruz, Haley Zak, and Justin Zak. Adored grandmother of Lakelynne Cruz. Dear sister of Michael (Jessica) Lisecki Jr. and Jereme Lisecki. Special cousin of Daniel Valente and Megan Valente. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation for Jessica will be held on Friday, February 27th from 3-8pm with a 7pm Funeral Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road in Warren.
