Jimmie was blessed with a very full, long, and happy life. As a young teen, he moved from Virginia to Michigan, securing his first and only job at Michigan Bell / AT&T. It was at that time he met his first wife, Jackie, at church, and fell head over heels in love. They married in 1955 and celebrated 34 years together, raising 3 loving sons before Jackie’s passing in 1989. A few years later he retired, moved to Kentucky, and in 1992, married Treva. They shared many wonderful retirement years together until her passing in 2015.
Jimmie enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing and working in his yard. He loved to sing gospel music and for decades, anchored the bass row in the church choir with his boys. He was proud of his salvation, his beautiful patio and his bowling scores. He loved his family and many friends.
