Joan Elizabeth Anderson

Joan’s greatest joy was her family. She cherished time spent together and especially adored her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jonathon, and Isabella, holding close the everyday moments as well as the celebrations that became lasting memories. Outgoing by nature and happiest in the company of others, Joan brought people together with an ease that made gatherings feel warm, full, and complete.

A creative spirit with an eye for beauty, Joan loved art and painting and was known for being wonderfully crafty. Her talent and dedication also carried her beyond home, traveling to provide hair and makeup for events such as runways, modeling, and photoshoots; it was work that reflected both skill and artistry. And to those who knew her best, it would be impossible to speak of Joan without mentioning her coffee (often more sugar than coffee), an everyday comfort that was simply part of who she was.

Some of Joan’s favorite memories were made at the cottage in Port Sanilac over the Fourth of July, where she would host big parties that gathered family near and far. She had a gift for making occasions feel special, and she took care to preserve them, too. Joan rarely let a moment pass without capturing it; if you spent time with her, you could count on many photographs. Kept not for show, but to cherish and remember.

Joan is survived by her children Krystal (Rusty) Davis, Robert Lewis Major lll, and Nickolas Raymond Clark; her grandchildren Elizabeth, Jonathon, and Isabella; her parents John and Beverly Anderson; her siblings Lisa Sherman, John M. Anderson, and Carol Dimech; and her nieces Olivia, Sara, Lily, and Adrianna.

Joan was preceded in death by her Nanny and Grandpa.

Visitation will take place at D.S. Temrowski and Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, MI 48093, on July 17, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael Catholic Community, 40501 Hayes Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48313, on July 18, 2026, at 9:30 am.
