

Joan was born June 3, 1933, in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late Joseph Puszakowski and the late Francis (nee: Kulpa) Puszkowski. Joan was raised in Detroit and Warren.
Joan graduated from high school and joined the workforce working at Parke-Davis Pharmaceutical Manufacturer. Joan was a woman ahead of her time and was willing to take on any job or task asked of her including driving a Hi-Lo. Joan retired from Parke-Davis after more than 37 years of faithful service.
Away from her daily work, Joan was a wonderful wife and mother. Her family was the center of her universe and the time spent with her family, either at home or at her northern Michigan cottage was her most cherished memories. Her second love was her devotion to her dogs that she cherished over the years.
Joan was the beloved wife of the late Raymond and the dearest mother of Debora (Ben) Rosario, Valerie (F. John) Miller, Renee Gawron, and Francine Alband. She was also the loving grandmother of Blake (Sorochi) VanSickle, David (Kate) Miller, Kate (Eric) Hedrick, and Shayna Alband. Mrs. Gawron is also survived by four cherished great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Mrs. Gawron will be held on Tuesday from 3-9 pm with a 7pm Rosary at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile). Mrs. Gawron will lie in state Friday 10am, at St. Rapheal Catholic Church, in Copemish, Michigan until the time of the Funeral Mass 11am. Celebrating the Funeral Liturgy will be Reverend Fr. Rubin Munoz. Interment will follow in Minar Cemetery, Springville Township, Michigan.
