Hi Dad!  I have so much to tell you but I'm sure you already know! I miss you everyday! Thank you for being the best Dad ever!  I know you are taking  care of Jack! Please kiss him for me and not just one kiss you know the way you always kiss 20 times in a roll! I LOVE YOU DAD!

Dear Shirley, Martha, Shirley, John & Jennifer, My heart hurts for your great loss. John, as well as the whole Bartolone Family have been dear friends of mine for over 44 years. I have many, many wonderful memories of "Standard Steet" and the good times we all had. I will forever hold Johns memory in my "heart". Grief is not a sign of weakness nor a lack of faith, it is the price of love. With much love, Georgie.

He Was A Very Nice Person. You will be missed dearly. I am glad I got to know him. Hope he is in a better place.

We mourn the loss of our neighbor and friend. John and Shirley had several neighborhood fall parties which we attended. John also shared his garden produce with us. He loved music and frequently as we opened our back door he had classical music playing in his backyard as he worked.

I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to John's wife, children, and his brothers and sisters. When I read that Johnny had passed away, I was flooded with distant memories of him and his family back in the late 50's and early 60's. While hanging around with Patti, I came to know her caring family. They were very accepting of a clutzy, tactless teenager. When Johnny owned a grocery store on the corner of Rohns and - I have forgotten the name of the cross street, I worked for a short time in the store. I'm sure I was more of a headache than a help, but Johnny was kind and tried to teach me to be considerate and aware of his customers. He had a heart of gold for those customers who were struggling to make ends meet even though the economy was relatively healthy. I recall mothers coming in and requesting 2 slices of
"boloney." Those characteristics of loving and caring for people do not leave a person with age or illness so I know that Johnny was the same in his interactions with his family and colleagues throughout his life. It is because of this that the world is a less happy place for the loss of such as he.

UJ - You were the best Uncle. You accepted everyone with open arms. You provided a happy home in which you allowed us to visit anytime especially Sundays and practically every holiday. You became a "DAD" to those who lost their own... You gave everything without asking for anything in return. I'll never forget you. RIP. I love you

Dear Bartolone Family,
