John Edward Dobroczynski

Dobroczynski, John E.Passed away November 6, 2014 at the age of 74. Loving husband of Mary Lupe for 53 years, dear father of Paul (Jacqueline Dannis), Elizabeth Lewerenz, Racquel (Michael) Vlasak, John(Genevieve)and Alicia (Dent) Niggemeyer. Proud grandfather of Frederick, Veronica, Gabrielle, Joshua, Sidney, Marissa and John-Thomas. Brother of Daniel (Christine), Anna(Chester) Popko and Virginia (Ronald) Pawenski. Preceded in death by his siblings Albina (Kilgore), Angeline(Mastej), Richard, Walter and Stanley. He devoted his entire life to supporting his family. For 54 years he worked at Harlo Printing Company in Highland Park, first as a pressman and later as the owner. He was an excellent athlete especially as a basketball player and was involved in what is still talked about today as the greatest high school state championship ever, 1959 Hamtramck vs. Lansing Sexton. He was a true family man and was at every sports field, court and rink to support his children and grand children. John had the best sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to know him. Visitation Monday 3-9 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. In state Tuesday 10:30 am until the time of the funeral mass at 11:00 am at St. Louise Catholic Church, 2500 E. 12 Mile Rd., Warren. Please share memories of John at his memory book.
