John Santangelo

John Santangelo March 5, 2004 age 81- Beloved husband of Sylvia. Dearest father of Andrea (Mike) Henry, Alexis Zapantis, Joseph (Carol Ann), Johnny, and Alex (Jennifer) Santangelo. Dear brother of Vinczenza Misura, Rosemarie Gortat, and the late Dominic Santangelo. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Mr. Santangelo was born April 11, 1922 in Detroit Michigan, to parents, the late Giusseppe & Frances (nee: Scurti) Santangelo. John lived the majority of his life in Detroit, and attended St. Louis the King Cathlolic church. He served his country with the United States Army during WWII. Mr. Santangelo retired in 1981 from Chrysler Motors Truck Assembly on Mound Road in Warren, where he worked as a repairman. Visitation for Mr. Santangelo will be Monday 2-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common, (12 mile). Rosary Monday evening 6pm. Mr. Santangelo will lie in state Tuesday 9:30am at St. Sylvester Catholic Church, until time of Funeral Mass 10:00am. Celebrating the funeral Mass will be Rev. Fr. Timothy Galos. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
